About Pliability
Pliability provides daily mobility, stretching, and recovery solutions for athletes and fitness enthusiasts worldwide. Their app offers expert-designed video routines that help users improve flexibility, speed recovery, and prevent injuries through guided mobility sessions. With over 3 million downloads across 100+ countries and trusted by elite athletes like 6x CrossFit Games Champion Tia-Clair Toomey, Pliability is transforming how people approach daily movement and recovery while building a sustainable subscription-based fitness platform.
The Challenge
When Pliability reached out, their organic growth had stagnated. Despite their world-class product, they were ranking almost exclusively for branded terms like "Pliability" and "ROMWOD" (they were previously known as "ROMWOD"), while competitors captured users searching for stretching apps, mobility routines, and recovery programs. With only 185 organic clicks per day, they needed a comprehensive strategy to break into the competitive fitness app market and establish authority for mobility-related keywords.
We set a target of 35% growth within three months. Nine months later, we delivered nearly 10x growth in daily organic traffic, reaching 1.75K clicks per day (~52,000+ clicks per month).
The Strategy
We built a holistic SEO and LLMSEO approach that covered every dimension of search visibility. This included comprehensive on-page optimization across their homepage, landing pages, and blog content, paired with a targeted backlink strategy to build domain authority in the competitive fitness and wellness space.
The strategy extended beyond traditional SEO. We implemented custom-tailored LLM SEO strategies, techniques developed through rapid experimentation with AI search tools to increase visibility in next-generation search experiences. Our content is inherently optimized for Google, which provides strong visibility in LLMs that rely on traditional search results. We then add additional strategic layers specifically designed to maximize visibility and rankings in LLMs like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.
We created in-depth content covering flexibility training, sport-specific mobility routines (CrossFit, running, golf), and injury prevention strategies. The content targeted high-intent keywords like "daily stretching routine," "mobility exercises," and "flexibility app" while going significantly deeper than competitor content. This approach established Pliability as a topical authority across every category they operate in, with content quality that set a new standard in the mobility and recovery space.
Throughout the engagement, we provide a custom automated reporting dashboard to all of our clients. This dashboard updates every 12 hours via the Google Search Console API, giving Pliability real-time visibility into growth across all initiatives: homepage optimizations, landing pages, blog posts, backlinks, and LLM-specific strategies.
The Results
Over nine months, we increased Pliability's organic traffic from 185 clicks per day (approximately 5,500 clicks per month) to 1,750 clicks per day (approximately 52,500 clicks per month), representing a nearly 10x increase in daily organic traffic through SEO and LLM SEO.
